Aims and Objectives of service:

The clinics take place at the above address. It is a ground floor location with a public car park with disabled bays located behind the premises.
Patient assistance can be provided by prior arrangement. There is a wheelchair ramp and wide doorways to assist persons of restricted mobility (PRM). In particular, those in a wheelchair.
The clinic has very close bus and rail links.
The Ear Health Clinic arm provides a private service that offers prompt and affordable ear care and ear wax removal by microsuction to the whole population within the following age and ability ranges:
- 13-17
- 18-65
- 65 and over.
Physical disabilities:
- Dementia
- Sensory impairment
- Learning difficulties or autistic disorder
The Weight Health arm provides a private weight management service (including assessment, advice, support and potentially the provision of medication to support the treatment of obesity). Treating over 18s and under 75s who have capacity and meet the requirements for weight loss treatment with no contraindications.
The CQC service type treated at this location falls under the Doctor Consultation Service and Doctors Treatment Service, although all care is provided by a registered nurse. There is no doctor involvement directly in the clinic.
The Clinic is registered with the CQC for the Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury.
The Service Provided:
The clinic has regular 3x weekly sessions which vary in duration according to demand and these can take place from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am to 8pm. Available slots to book are shown online and can be discussed via text message, email and phone.
Patients may request alternative times, subjective to availability.
The service consists of:
- A consultation.
- An examination.
- Micro-suction ear wax removal, (if required).
- Weight, height, waist circumference and blood pressure measuring (if required)
- The issuing of a prescription (if required, the pharmacy may charge a private prescription fee).
- Recommendations for future care.
- Ongoing support, follow up and advice as required.
A copy of the consultation (with the patient’s permission) is then sent to their General Practitioner.
Clinical Experience:
The current clinician is an advanced NHS Nurse Practitioner who has:
- Over 30 years’ nursing experience.
- Over 20 years’ experience in Ear, Nose and Throat and undertaking advanced history taking and clinical examination.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in general health assessments and the management and treatment of ear disorders.
- An MSc in advanced clinical nursing and V300 non-medical prescribing.
- Undertaken the National Weight Loss Programme.

The clinic is highly committed to providing a very high standard of professional care in a safe, clean, caring and friendly environment. This includes the specialist provision of ear care along with providing a very high standard of weight management care, professional advice and medication (if required) to support weight loss. The provider will focus on both the physical and psychological care to achieve lasting results.
